FAQs

  • How often should I test my pool water?

It is recommended to test your pool water once a week, whether you use at-home test strips or bring us a 20 ounce sample. Weekly testing ensures a balanced pool, which comes with many benefits including crystal clear water, equipment longevity, and a safe swimming pool for your swimmers.

  • What's included in pool opening service?

Pool opening typically includes removing the cover, reconnecting equipment and starting up the system, adding your first

dose of pool chemicals, and inspecting all systems. This ensures your pool is safe, your equipment is working properly, and you are ready to start the swimming season.

  • When should I schedule pool opening?

Pool openings should be scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to any events you plan on having. We prefer an early opening

(April-early May), just for the simple fact that algae loves warmth. If we open before the 70's hit we can get ahead of the algae! As we say "open early, close late", and you have a good chance of being clear and ready to jump in when the weather turns!

  • When should I schedule pool closing?

Pool closings should be scheduled as late as possible (October). I know that seems like a long time to keep your pool open, especially if you don't have a heater. However, algae goes dormant when the water temperature gets below 50 degrees, meaning if you close a crystal blue with cold water and open up before the temps hit the 70's, you're likely to not have the spring cleaning headache.

  • Can you install both inground and above-ground pools?

Yes, we install both in-ground and above-ground pools, and even semi-inground pools! Each inground and semi-inground installation is custom made and tailored to your yard specifications and personal preferences for optimal enjoyment. You can even customize above-ground pools to some extent by getting an equipment system tailored to you and selecting a wall and liner pattern suited to your tastes!

  • What pool maintenance do I need regularly?

Regular pool maintenance includes skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing walls, cleaning filters, and balancing chemicals. Professional maintenance ensures consistent water quality and equipment longevity.

  • How long does pool remodeling take?

Pool remodeling timelines vary based on project scope, from a few days for surface updates to several weeks for major

renovations. Weather and permit requirements can affect scheduling.

  • Do you service commercial pools too?

Yes, we provide commercial pool services including maintenance, repairs, renovations, and chemical deliveries for hotels,

fitness centers, retirement communities, schools, and community facilities throughout West Michigan.

  • What causes cloudy pool water?

Cloudy water is caused by many different factors. As always, the best way for us to treat it is by testing the water. It could be from poor filtration, chemical imbalance, or organic contaminants broken down too far. Professional water analysis quickly identifies the issue and determines the proper treatment approach.

  • Why choose professional hot tub installation?

Professional installation ensures proper electrical connections, plumbing, and foundation support for safety and warranty

compliance. Expert setup prevents costly future repairs and safety hazards.

and plumbing issues. Our 41 years of experience covers both minor fixes and major system overhauls. We always say to call us first before deciding we can't do it, because it's very likely we can!
